Cosmic Walk

Cosmic Walk takes hard-to-imagine times and distances and maps them onto long walks.

It features The Solar System, which compresses the 4.5 billion kilometres between the Sun and Neptune into a one kilometre walk.

As you reach each planet, you'll get audio alerts, and notifications on your lock screen and your watch.

This is an early draft of the app, developed by Rajeev Ruparell, James Cash, and Mimi Fautley.

Our plans for the final version, which will be released in late 2024, include more science walks, the addition of teaching guides and supplementary materials, and bespoke walks for museums and educators.
